Mr. Steven E. Corey is a Senior Advisor at Command Group with over 42 years of experience in physical security, electronic security, and video surveillance. Well-versed in all aspects of modern electronic security technologies, Mr. Corey’s comprehensive understanding of electronic hardware, high-security keying systems, biometrics, intercom systems, emergency duress/holdup alarms, distributed access control systems, and video surveillance systems has made him an expert in his field.
As the Executive Vice President of Acme Security Systems from 1976 to 2016, Mr. Corey was responsible for spearheading the company’s innovative design-consulting team. In this role, Mr. Corey developed and tested state-of-the-art enterprise products for the security industry, as well as designed and engineered thousands of access control, intrusion detection, and video recording solutions. Most notably, Mr. Corey is credited with designing complex integrated security systems for multiple multinational technology firms, major city and county governments, and one of the principal utilities providers on the west coast of the United States. Mr. Corey has additionally designed high-security lock and key standards as well as closed circuit television camera specifications and digital recorder types for his clients' specific needs. Mr. Corey is a member of numerous professional organizations including the Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA) Security Professionals Association, the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security, and the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS International). Mr. Corey additionally serves as an honorary deputy sheriff of Alameda County, California. |
