Mark TillmanMark Tillman is a Consultant at Command Group and a deeply experienced operational leader in executive, VIP, and Head of State protection and aviation as well as continuity programs related to aviation. From 2001 until 2009, Col. Tillman served as the 12th Presidential pilot and Commander of the Presidential Airlift Group (PAG), where he was the chief pilot of Air Force One. As Commander of the PAG, Col. Tillman was responsible for all aspects of operations for Air Force One—including planning, maintenance, parts, security, facilities, communications, food service, budgeting, personnel, training, and emergency action and continuity of operations plans. Most notably, Col. Tillman protected the President on September 11, 2001 by keeping him out of harm’s way and connecting the flying oval office to the nation’s first responders. Col. Tillman is a recipient of the Air Force’s Distinguished Flying Cross for his extraordinary leadership during covert Presidential travel to active war zones in Iraq and Afghanistan.
