Mr. James Delamore is a Consultant at Command Group. Mr. Delamore has led an accomplished and decorated career as a security professional, serving in executive positions in both federal agencies and Fortune 500 companies.
Most recently in the private sector, Mr. Delamore was the Director of Security for Frito-Lay North America, Inc. In this position, he was responsible for directing business continuity planning, supply chain security, workplace violence issues, executive protection, and investigations for the corporation’s manufacturing and distribution centers throughout the United States and Canada. Mr. Delamore led the establishment of safety and security protocols, providing security to over 46,000 employees and implementing policies enforcing supply chain and transportation security.
In government, Mr. Delamore was hand selected to assist in the establishment of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks by serving as the Deputy Federal Security Director for Dallas Love Field Airport. At the TSA, he directed the execution of all staffing as well as procurement of detection and screening hardware to ensure compliance with newly established federal standards.
Mr. Delamore is also a veteran of the United States Secret Service, and has served in various capacities, including the Presidential and Vice Presidential Protective Divisions where he gathered, evaluated, and investigated potential security threats to senior officials and was ultimately responsible for all protective security operations in host cities where he was assigned.
Mr. Delamore was also the Director of Security for Trammell Crow, one of the nation’s leading developers and investors in real estate. As Director of Security, he led all security operations, ensuring the safety of businesses and tenants of 30 Class A high-rise office towers in the Dallas metropolitan area, as well as developing emergency response plans for coordinated first-response efforts throughout Dallas.
Mr. Delamore currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Dallas Cup, an international soccer tournament, where he is an advisor for all security related issues, including player housing and venue security. During the 1994 World Cup, Mr. Delamore served as the security representative for the Dallas venue, coordinating security activities for the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) leadership headquarters, the international press, and FIFA referees. Attendance at this World Cup broke the previous record by over a million attendees, with an average of ninety-six percent capacity at each stadium.
