Dennis Lindsay

Mr. Dennis Lindsay is a Consultant at Command Group. Mr. Lindsay retired in January 2008 from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Air and Marine after twenty-eight years of service in key several law enforcement aviation programs.

Lindsay began his career with the U.S. Customs Service in 1986 as a line pilot and served in that position until 1990 when he was promoted to National Aviation Safety Program Manager. As the National Safety Program Manager, Lindsay developed program and equipment enhancements to lower risk for the hundreds of critical national security air missions undertaken by the U.S. Customs Service.

In 1997, Lindsay was selected as the Director of Aviation Operations in Tucson, Arizona, where he directed all Customs Air Interdiction operations for a six state region. During that time, Lindsay was selected to develop and execute an airspace security plan for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, one of the first National Special Security Events (NSSEs) following the attacks of 9/11. This plan temporarily created the largest ever U.S. Customs Air and Marine operational unit and required significant integration with Department of Defense Commands, which Lindsay personally oversaw.

In 2003 Lindsay was promoted to Executive Director of Air and Marine Operations at CBP headquarters in Washington, DC, where he directed all national and international operations, developed all operational requirements for personnel and equipment, and provided strategic vision for all program enhancements. He served with and under nearly all the present CBP Air and Marine headquarters leadership, including the current Assistant Commissioner, Deputy Assistant Commissioner, and Executive Director for Mission Support.

From 2007 until his retirement in 2008, Mr. Lindsay directed the establishment and later day-to-day operations of the new Montana Aviation Branch in Great Falls, Montana, one of the Nation’s first northern border air branches.
