Steve Atkiss on Obama's Presidential Vehicle

Steve Atkiss, one of the co-founders of Command Consulting Group, was quoted in the New York Times article, "Far From Capital, Obama Still Finds Its Woes" on August 17. Mr. Atkiss comments on The Beast, President Obama's black armored bus:

As for the jet-black color, Steve Atkiss, who was a special assistant to President George W. Bush and oversaw the retrofitting of his campaign bus in 2004 said, “The Secret Service obviously has a culture of the ‘black car,’ so they were trying to get as close to that as possible."
