David carey Mr. David W. Carey held several senior positions during a 32 year career at the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) including serving as the agency’s Executive Director, the organization’s chief operating officer. In this capacity he oversaw the CIA’s strategic planning, budgetary, procurement, financial, logistics and research and development activities as well as day to day operations. Before becoming Executive Director, Mr. Carey held several key operational and leadership positions dealing with critical national security threats and challenges as Director of the Central Intelligence’s (DCI) Crime and Narcotics Center, Director of the Office of Near Eastern and South Asian Analysis and Deputy Director of the Office of Global Issues.

Since retiring from the CIA, Mr. Carey has served as Vice President, Information Assurance for Oracle Corporation, Executive Director for Blackbird Technologies, Inc. and more recently has provided business development and strategic planning advice to American and foreign firms engaged in defense and intelligence technology. Mr. Carey also serves on several advisory and governing boards, including DRS Technologies, Trusted Computer Solutions (TCS), and ImageWare Systems, Inc.
